Post Something that needs to be celebrated.
This year, TLA Forum celebrates 5 years. In the process some of our members are completing 5 years.

Unnoticed by many of us, four members have completed 5 years during February. All four are moderators, and two of them have few posts making one wonder whether they are still with us. The other two have large numbers of posts, and I am sure everyone will agree with me that they (and possibly the first two) have been serving TLA forum community in an exceptional manner during the past five years.

Congratulations and a big thank you to all of them.

Among the ordinary members, as I go through the list, I note that lakson, R.Gnanaratnam and Veritas are the oldest members still with us. They all complete five years in May. Let us celebrate in a big way, when the time comes.

Wholesome congratulations to the mods and '5 yr old' members Smile

Maybe the mods/members can shed some light on the
origins and starting moments of this forum.

Congrats & best wishes to mods & to all five year senior members, specially for Veritas for his 1110 posts voicing his opinion to date. Let me salute you for that sir.

I have heard late Professor Dayawansa was one of the pioneers of TLA.  He was in the Texas Tech University in USA in the department of Mathematics when he passed away. Hope the mods will be able to shed more light to his contributions to TLA and in general.

Last but not the least a big thank you to for friend KKK for bringing this topic up in the forum.

Two items that caught my eye at http://theacademic.org/
good work by LAC

1.
That by just visiting this page, you are helping a student in rural Sri Lanka gain education? How?
HELP OUR CAUSE BY VISITING US MORE OFTEN.

2.
On December 26 of 2004, about 35,000 Sri Lankan lives were lost to one of the deadliest natural disasters in modern history, the Asian tsunami. The enormity of this tragedy generated an outpouring of aid from the international community. LAcNet collected $129,200 and have have disbursed $94,371 to seven worthy projects. [More...]

Five-year olds and keeping order?

Reminds me of a nursery school called 'Rascals'.  Laughing
